A Review: 007: The World Is Not Enough, PSOne 2000

Hello, and once again, welcome. Today I'll be posting two reviews. The second one being for the Nintendo 64 game 007: The World Is Not Enough. Please enjoy. This game was developed by Eurocom and is based on the 1999 film of the same name, which puts players in the role of secret agent James Bond as he tries to stop a plot to cause a nuclear meltdown in waters near Istanbul. Play is all from the first-person perspective and features a variety of weapons, tools, and equipment to make your way through the various maps and levels. This game was one that I used to spend hours playing with friends, messing around on the 4-player split-screen death matches. Those are some of the best memories I have of the Nintendo 64, so when I found a copy online, I was quick to get my hands on it and give it a play again. Although the AI will never be able to replace my friends, it did hit me with the old nostalgia to once again stalk the multiplayer maps. Having never completed the original campaig...

A Review: 007 Racing, PSOne 2000

Hello, and once again, welcome. Today I'll be posting two reviews. The first being for the Playstation One game 007: Racing. Please enjoy. 007 Racing is a James Bond-themed and inspired racing and vehicular combat game, developed by Eutechnyx and published by EA Games in 2000 for the PlayStation One. Having never really heard of this game, it turned out that it was one of the Electronic Arts era of Bond games, so I decided to give it a go. The game plays much like Vigilante 8, but with more of a focus on racing than actual combat. The player takes one of several iconic Bond cars and sets about a series of missions with varying goals and a progressive difficulty curve. 007 Racing is the seventh title that features Pierce Brosnan as the main character, though his voice was supplied by the actor and writer Tim Bentinck. There was apparently a sequel planned and announced for the PlayStation 2, but nothing ever came of it. I didn't mind this game, really. I agree that it was fairly...

A Review: 007: Goldeneye, N64 1997

Hello again and welcome. Today I'll be talking about the old N64 game 007: Goldeneye. As always, thanks for taking the time to read. 007: Goldeneye is a first-person shooter developed for the N64 by Rare and published by Nintendo in 1997. This is one of the many, many games that I downloaded as part of a bulk package containing hundreds of old games that are impossible to get physical copies of now. As such, it sat in a folder on my hard drive for many months before I eventually fished it out and gave it a play-through. Although a dated game by modern standards, Goldeneye is one of the first games to have proven that console FPS titles were possible. Leading to many seeing this as one of the best games of the N64 era. Gameplay puts the player in the role of Secret Agent James Bond as he tries to foil a terrorist plot to use a satellite to destroy the world's capital city's. Almost all of the staples of the first-person genre were put on display with this game, and some ar...
