A Review: Crusi'n Exotica, N64 2000

Cruis'n Exotica is a 1999 racing game developed for arcades by Midway Games. The game is a sequel to Cruis'n World and is the third entry in the Cruis'n series. It was ported by Gratuitous Games and released on the Nintendo 64 in 2000, along with a Game Boy Colour version developed by Crawfish Interactive. I wasn't that impressed by this game, really, nor did I think that it was all that bad. It was just another one of the many arcade games that seemed to be ported to home consoles for no reason. It suffered from mediocrity in every sense of the word and just couldn't quite rise above the average soup that this series seemed to swim in. The controls are twitchy and hard to get to grips with, but once you get the hang of things, it reduces play down to basic, boring, and repetitive racing. A Review: Critical Point, PC 1998 (18+)

*** ATTENTION ** As per my review standards, I have to note that this game is an adult-only title and therefore, I am talking about adult subjects and sexual behaviours. Thank You! Critical Point is a sci-fi horror mystery-themed erotic visual novel in which the protagonist is sent to investigate the strange happenings and security breaches on an isolated space station. The main character arrives to find discipline and morale has cratered among the almost entirely female staff of the station, many members of which have resorted to degenerate and violent sex acts to alleviate the tension and sense of mania that have gripped them. The gameplay is standard for a visual novel, with branching routes affecting the outcome of the story, including which of the women the protagonist has encounters with.
